| Summary of Activity: |
The PJD conducts a photojournalism digital competition among PSA member clubs with four judgings during the year: November, January, March, and May. Following each competition, the club standings are sent to participating clubs and published in the PJD News column of the PSA Journal. The club with the highest cumulative points for the season receives a plaque. Each club enters six (6) images in each competition, but not more than two (2) images by one maker. Images which have not received a prior award in this PJD Interclub Competition may be re-entered. Ribbons for the top two scoring images in Photojournalism General and top two scoring images in Human Interest, and up to five Honorable Mentions for runners-up are awarded for each competition. All of these award winning images are eligible for the Image of the Year judging in July. The top Photojournalism General and top Human Interest images chosen from the winners during the year are given plaques, and ribbons are awarded to the second and third place Photojournalism General and Human Interest images, and Honorable Mention winners. |
