This looks like normal game action
to me, which I would think would not make it very
far as Human Interest. Needs a center of interest. |

Nice stop-action shooting. If it
were not for your description I would have thought
this was possibly a part of the actual basketball
game, which would disqualify it from “human
interest”. Since the judge’s would not have access
to that information, I would probably hold this
image for entry in PJ Open, or general, which
includes sports. Stopping the lens aperture down
another stop might have given slightly more defined
sharpness, but would have necessitated going to a
higher ISO. |

This image will do well in PJ and in
Human Interest if the judges realize that the game
has stopped. Well, anyone should know that with so
many players on the court. |

Lots of action BUT- there is no
center of interest. Just a mass of bodies that seem
to be ‘mixing it up’! Somehow the title ‘Water
Break’ is misleading-seems like more than water may
be broken!! (7) |

Biography
I have always had an interest in photography but have
only become active in image making within the past year. I have a law
practice in St. Louis where I live with my wife Beth and five children. I
have several photography interests, however the centerpiece of image making
for me is story telling.
